Privacy Policy

Data Collection

Saarthi collects minimal data to function. If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your email address and name strictly for linking your premium purchases to your account. We do not use analytics or tracking software to monitor your usage of the app.

Local Storage

Your readings, favorite wisdom entries, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using an SQLite database. This data is private and not sent to our servers unless you explicitly sync your favorites.

Server Data

If you sign in and purchase Saarthi Premium, your purchase verification data is stored securely on our servers. Your saved favorites can optionally be synced to the server to preserve them across devices.

Data Retention

Server Data: Your account information, premium purchase records, and synced favorites are retained for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion of your account, all personal data is removed from our servers within 14 days. We do not retain any backups or copies of deleted data.

Local Device Data: Data stored locally on your device (readings, app preferences, favorites) is retained indefinitely until you manually clear it or uninstall the app. We do not have access to or control over local device storage.

Third-Party Services: Data shared with Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing is governed by their respective privacy policies and retention practices. Please refer to Google's privacy documentation for details on how long they retain authentication and payment information.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Sign-In for account linking and Google Play Billing for processing premium purchases. In India, payment settlement for these purchases is facilitated by BillDesk, a payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. These services may collect information according to their respective privacy policies.

Data Security

All communication with our servers is secured using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are kept in secure storage on your device.

Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and account at any time. To submit a data deletion request, please visit our Account and Data Deletion page for detailed instructions.

Processing Timeline: Upon receiving your request, we will process the deletion of all your personal data from our servers within 14 days.

What Gets Deleted:

• • Your user profile information (Name, Email, Google ID)
• • Any synced favorites stored on our servers
• • Your premium purchase records linked to your account

Local Device Data: Deleting your account does not automatically remove data stored locally on your device (e.g., app preferences, reading history). To clear local data, please uninstall the Saarthi app from your device.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
